Job Summary

  • Performs tasks involving physical labor at residential or commercial building sites

 

General 

  • Responsible for loading, removing, and stacking rock, stone or other various items.

  • Cuts Aprons & other concrete with saw.

  • Operates various types of hand tools.

  • Keeps area wet with water.

  • Digs trenches and holes, plugs sewer.

  • Sets braces to support the sides of excavations.

  • Cleans site of all rubble, debris, waste and/or other materials.

  • May assist other craft workers, (Concrete)

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

  • Keeps up with Company Tools & Equipment that is in your possession, & keeps the Cement saw clean.

  • Drives Company Box Truck with tools.

  • Assist Dump truck Drivers with backing up & staying on the metal plates.

  • Takes required (3) Photos or more, of Demolition (1st. Photo of Property before we hit it.

  • (2nd. Photo showing the structure being hit with Excavator) (3rd. Photo when Structure is all the way down.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

  • The operator is skilled at operating heavy equipment for residential demolition projects. Candidate should have previously worked in a construction or demolition environment as a heavy equipment operator and the ability to function in a fast paced environment. 

 

General 

  • Operation and maintenance of 235 Sany Excavator or similar

  • Minor servicing and maintenance to machinery

  • Safe and efficient operation of equipment

  • Demolition of subject property, separation of rubble and debris, leading and hauling in proper containers to wast facilities

  • Separate recyclables when appropriate

  • Maintain a steady flow of dump and return boxes for rubble and debris

  • Direct driver to other demolition location(s) to facilitate moving of excavator

  • Ability to work at various job sites as required

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions from Supervisors

  • Ability to work alone and as a team

  • Responsible for job site completion and passing municipality inspection as advised by supervisor

  • Ability to follow all safety instructions

  • Ability to report to work on time and as scheduled

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years prior experience in construction or demolition as a Heavy Equipment Operator working on several of the following machines: Dozer, Excavator, High Reach, Lift Truck, Wheel Loader, Skid Steer & Screener

  • High School Diploma

  • Driver's License in good standing

Skills

  • Ability to maneuver heavy equipment with shear/bucket/pulverizing attachments

  • Formal training in Machine Operator from an accredited training facility is an asset
